The Pines Party is one of Fire Island Pines’ signature events. Following in the traditions of Beach, the Morning Party, Spray and Ascension, Pines Party is one of the most sophisticated dance parties in the world. For twelve years Allan Baum and Frank Liberto have been at the helm, expanding it from a single party into a weekend long extravaganza and making it a major financial contributor to the Stonewall Community Foundation and the Pines Foundation. Pines Historical Society’s Gianfranco Lentini sat down with them for a candid and entertaining discussion as they pass the reins to a new generation of leaders.
