 DJ’s of the Pines

  • DJ Lina Bradford

    For 10 years DJ Lina Bradford ruled the deck at Sip n Twirl in Fire Island Pines, creating the phenomenon called Twirlina Tea. What was a mixture of music, performance art and lovefest was an experience that is irreplaceable.

  • DJ Kevin Burke

    DJ Kevin Burke was the house DJ at the Pines and Dunes Yacht Club, better known as the Botel, now the Blue Whale for 14 summer seasons from 1977 to 1987 for 5-7 days per week beginning early June and ending late September.

  • DJ Michael Fierman

    DJ Michael Fierman’s career in NYC began in 1981 at the Underground and River Club. His long association with Fire Island Pines was at The Pavilion in the summer of 1982. He was made house DJ by owner John Whyte in 1990-2000.J Michael Fierman was a mainstay at the Pavilion throughout the 1990’s creating the sound and culture of late night dancing.

  • DJ Warren Gluck

    Warren Gluck worked as a world renown DJ for over 45 years, beginning his career in the 1970s. Just a few years into his career, he took the world by storm, spinning at some of the most notorious clubs in the metropolitan NYC area. Warren’s musical style was known for being upbeat and festive with seamless transitions. He had a vast repertoire of experience and knowledge in his craft. Among these noteworthy accomplishments include being a resident DJ for over 25 years at the Monster, a resident DJ for 5 years at the Saint, and playing numerous circuit parties throughout the country. Among these include countless sets at the Pines Party Fire Island, gay pride celebrations in NYC, San Francisco, Boston and Phoenix, Mardi Gras and Southern Decadence in New Orleans, and the Black and White Party in New York. Warren also worked for Atlantis Events Cruises as a resident DJ, where he traveled globally leaving an international impact that inspired many. He brought together the LGBTQ+ community with his passion and through the power of his music.

  • DJ Michael Jorba

    DJ Michael Jorba plays an intregal role in Pines history. The DJ for the GMHC Morning Party from its inception in 1983 until he handed the reigns to DJ Michael Fierman in 1994. He created a soundtrack to a historic time in the Pines community.

  • DJ Robbie Leslie

    DJ Robbie Leslie has been in the nightclub business for 45 years. One of the First Generation DJs, Leslie started his career on Fire Island at the Sandpiper (now the Pavilion) in 1975. From there he moved on to New York City, regularly playing The Saint (and subsequently the Saint-At-Large), Studio 54, Underground, Private Eyes, Palladium, the Red Parrot, 12 West and the Ice Palace. Leslie began spinning at special events worldwide long before the term ‘circuit’ was in the gay vernacular.

  • DJ Morabito

    The word “legendary” rolls off the tongue easily and often these days, but in the world of music and nightlife that story is usually told in the past tense. Unless the legend happens to be Susan Morabito. Few names have dominated the dance scene over the course of three decades and remain as relevant, current and celebrated as Morabito.

  • Tom Moulton

    Tom Moulton is a record producer whose name is synonymous with the Disco music. He invented the 12-inch disco single and mix. It all happened one day on Fire Island, and changed the way dance music was played in clubs forever…

  • DJ Roy Thode

    Roy Thode (New York City), a native New Yorker from Long Island, moved to the city in his early 20’s after establishing his DJ skills as a young man growing up in Wantaugh. Roy was perhaps best known for being the DJ for “Saturday Nights at the Ice Palace” in Cherry Grove. His NYC DJ career was highlighted with residencies at both Studio 54 and The Saint however it was the Long Island Gay club scene that fueled and created the foundation for Roy’s illustrious career as perhaps one of the best technical DJ’s of his era.
